She looks at each business as a whole, from information technology to growth strategies and through to process management, ensuring that you can get on with the business of doing what you do best.
Born and raised in South Africa, Melanie gained her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Natal (South Africa) with a major in Business Administration. She migrated to Australia where she obtained her CPA and a MBA from Deakin University. Melanie is a registered Tax Agent and a SMSF Specialist Advisor (SMSF Association).
Melanie has worked in public practice for over 20 years and is passionate about organisational ease. She actually enjoyed selecting and implementing new compliance software for the firm, being the network administrator, managing various tax and superannuation teams and chairing management teams as part of the firm's executive.
Trailblazer Consulting Group was born out of conversations with clients, realising that many business owners and managers focus on the discrete parts of their business and fail to join the dots. Understanding that technology affects the ability to understand the financials, which in turn affect the ability to devise and implement long term growth strategies has been a key to unlocking the growth potential for clients.
Melanie is a board member of LightFM, the Chief Financial Officer of Halftime Australia, Chair of the PWS Advisory Group Leadership Team and a Director and the secretary of Prime Aged Care Pty Ltd, a Supported Residential Services business which specialises in the care of dementia patients.
